Bat, sorry to hear your day wasn't that good! And I'm laughing at the Neti pot
Katie, where did he get the pizza from?
I had a very nice day! I got up early and made french toast and scrambled eggs for Paul, then when he came home for lunch I had heart shaped meatballs (I thought it would be funny) and a chocolate eclair pie for him. That night, we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant where for $25 you got fajitas for two and strawberry fried ice cream. Delicious, and we have enough for another dinner! Yeah, we had lots of food yesterday, but we agreed not to buy each other any candy.
Paul gave me a pretty azalea plant with pink flowers (he always gives me live plants instead of bouquets) and a
gift card to a local department store. There aren't that many stores here in Fairbanks and he wanted to take me somewhere to buy a pretty bracelet or earrings or a sweater because I'm cheap and won't spend my own money on that kind of thing. We're going to go on Sunday and I'm really looking forward to it!
I gave him a bunch of roses made out of red duct tape, I used an entire roll! They look like these:

I also found a really pretty little notepad at Barnes and Noble and wrote a bunch of "coupons" for things like rental movie night with soda, popcorn and candy, washing the dishes for him, taking out the trash for him, ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery (did you know that Alaskans eat more ice cream per person than any other state?) and one for the Nintendo DS game of his choice. He liked it!
All in all, it was a fun day :biggrin2: Oh and my mom sent me some cute socks, a pink puppy dog and a Salad Spinner for Valentine's Day!
