Inoticed the crust around the nostril too but no discharge orcongestion.

It's dust. :D

A few of mine had it too, just from hay dust. They root around on the floor of the nest and just inhale that stuff.

It will go away when they get a bit older.

Can't believe how cute they are!

Pictures from yesterday day 18.Triscuit's eyes are a little wet in these pictures because I used warmwater and a cotton ball to gently help them open.

Both kits are doing great. Black one has a name now.....Disco! As in Disco Bunny...haha.

You can see the difference in size of the kitsin this picture.

oh my gosh....

too cute!

*whines* I want, I want, I want... :D

When we were looking at bunnies at the farm store a couple of days ago,one was cleaning his face and kept sort of sneezing/blowing his noseand I saw something on his nose. I talked to the manager whowas right nearby and we were discussing if he was sick what to do,etc., etc.,... Then I walked over closer and I see a piece of pinebedding hanging out of his nostril. I opened the cage andpulled it out. The bunny had the cutest look on his face like"Why, thankyouverymuch!" :)

Needless to say, the manager was very happy and thankful!

That one baby looks to be an astrex?!?

What were the parents? I forget a lot of the bunnies namesand breeds if I don't see their pics a lot. Please forgive mefor that.

I love that little black one! It reminds me of Lissa's Iszy! :)

She said they were fuzzy lops. I was marveling at how soft andall-over-the-place their fur is. I had baby Hols and thoughtTHEY were soft--these babies look much softer!

What's an astrex? I have no idea what color Triscuit is...another member of this board suggested a tort.

The father buck is a black fuzzy lop and the mom doeis abroken black fuzzy lop. Both have chinchilla and tortoiseshell colored ancestors in their pedigree.

These kits are still in the nest box. Any advice on when Ishould remove (or tip the box on it's side, I've heard some breeders dothis before taking it completely out) and when I should introduce waterand pellets is much appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Thanks so much Lanna, I love getting your advice!

I think Triscuit's fur looks astrex in the photo because it's a littlewet. I had them in the sunshine to dry it off, and well, justto get sunshine and try to take the pictures:D.

I had flemish and checkered giants as a girl, along with some otherlarger breeds. We raised a few litters back then. This is the first dwarf/fancy rabbit I've raised and thislitter is nothing likeI'm used to seeing. It's beenquite a wonderful adventure for me and my daughterand Iappreciate everyone's advice and help along the way.
