Update, good news, and pictures!

Emmi ans Emit are doing very well. They have FINALLY lost some weight and are overall very healthy. I found out emmi is not deaf which is a big relief for me. The buns are currently molting which is causing me to have so much fur on me but that’s ok. Emit is getting more and more comfortable around me and will now come up to me for pets and will take treats from my hand. I bought another fence so now they have more room to run around in. Also brush recommendations. I have used the hair buster and don’t like it as it pulls. What brush/ brushes do you use?

I use a plastic curry comb
Or a wire brush is make sure to brush GENTLY
Neither of these are the exact ones I have, but I don’t have any pictures of the ones I have.

I would caution against any wire bristle brush. If any of those round tips come off, the remaining sharp wires can scratch or puncture a rabbit's delicate skin. The rubber "brush" is a good option. Not sure why you're having problems with the hairbuster comb. Could it be an off-brand version? Or an old enough one that the rubber woven through the tines has deteriorated and is catching/pulling fur?

I’ve had the comb for less than a year. It’s the actual hair buster brand.
