We seriously cannot believe he did this-still. If my husband hadn't been home and seen it with his own eyes and I'd told him about it, he wouldn't believe me:shock:.

Any of you with NIC condos Ever seen this happen? Snuff was upstairs, and he usually just meatloafs up there. (It'stwo panels across.)

Well, tonight, he tried to flop with his back to the edge, I kinda made a noise so he wouldn't fall off, he got up, thought it was fine. No, he decided to flop again, the wrong direction and he fell off onto the ground part:shock::shock::shock:! We could not believe our eyes. Poor baby. I sure hope he hasn't done this before, wow.

Anyone else's bunny ever do this:?? Scared me, that's for sure. Silly boy!

Mr. Evey almost did that in front of me before; it made me wonder if he's actually fallen off the 2nd level! I get really worried about the upper level for reasons like that. I'm gladyour guy'sok though!!

I've witnessed similar falls, and it can be quite scary! I've noticed that bunnies can be pretty clumsy creatures. But they have this way of scaring you and then brushing themselves off and going about their business like nothing ever happened!

There have been countless times that Billy has fallen off the couch or bed from doing something as simple as trying to peek over the edge and getting just a little too close :). Apparently one time Billy accidentally flipped himself off the couch and landed flat on his back, then dashed into his cage to hide from the invisible being who caused his fall. When he realized that he did it to himself he came back out :biggrin2:

Wow, yeah, the little too close thing I can see, but we like warned him then he still flopped, silly bunners. It was like watching slow motion too:?. I felt bad for him. But, me and my husband could not stop from laughing right after it happened, cuz we just couldn't believe it. I walked up to him and he gave me this look like "Yeah! Go away, you're laughing at me now:grumpy:":p

I just hope he doesn't do this regularly and this is the first time we've seen it:?.

Actually, that was a fear I've had about the cages and I built Bo's with a ledge on half of his 2nd level. I lowered the second level 2 cube grids and put a NIC square in the center against it. That gives him support as well as a safety rail. Kinda like a toddler bed LOL!

Aww Mr Snuffy..you are such a silly bugger lol....this is what makes me love these guys so much.....yes..bunnies can be so clumsy...i have witnessed a few bizzare and funny things myself with my guys...i'm forever going like this..:rollseyesbut kinda shaking my head at the same time lol

*shakes head*...bunnies..bunnies..bunnies

I guess Snuffy has a second career as a stuntman:shock:.

I was worried about that when I built my condo. Even though the highest shelf is almost 3 feet off the ground, the full second deck that I have means that its impossible for them to jump down more than one grid at a time.

However, there is a door that opens up to the second floor. I was cleaning out up there and Devon ran past Amber and bumped into her. Sure enough, she fell right out of the cage and into my lap. It scared the living daylights out of me, but she was fine.

Montana-yep, he was perfectly fine, thanks.

Bo, I like that idea, I'm trying to imagine it...

We had to put another grid out lower than the two higher ones cuz he's scared to jump down from one grid high, and that's where he fell from, silly dude;).

Matt, haha, funny you say stuntman cuz he went right back upstairs after he did it and my husband said "And for my next stunt".:p That could be kinda scary having two in one cage as one could try knock the other off the top level:shock:. Good thing Amber fell in your lap;).

Luckily it only happened because the door was open. Under normal circumstances it would be impossible for one to push the other out.

Today's lesson: Rabbits are not cats. They do not land on their feet. :biggrin2:

Here ya go Crystal. His cage is 2 x 2 x 2 NIC so 1/2 of his upper level is guard-railed. The other half allows him to jump up and down and there is a "doorway" to the underneath. It also gives the support to the 2nd level. I thought we had it at 2 grids but it's 4. I think we decided he didn't need to hurt his little hocks anymore and lowered it.

Awwww! Bless! Poor Snuff- I bet the only thing that he hurt was his pride! :p

I worry about this with Mouse and Chalk, especially having a 3-level NIC cage, so I've built the shelves so that if they fall from the top shelf, they can only fall one grid down to the middle shelf, and so on.... I've never seen them fall off yet but I have seen them try to jump up a level a bit too quickly, miss, and kind of bounce off the edge of the shelf, then hop the other way as if to say 'it's ok, I didn't really want to go up there anyway!' :)

Pipp was playing on my bed --- or I should say she was wanting to play on my bed so she was clearing it off.I had a big dinner plate on it.she grabbed it, and went to flip it off the bed, but she flipped it straight up and over her back and right off the bed -- taking her with it! She went head over tail backwardsonto the floor -- with a dinner plate.

Very scary! :nerves1

She went and hid,too. :hiding:

And me too! :sofa: (I was just so relieved she didn't break her neck).

Ha how scary, I have always been worried about this happening. I have something similar, a second level two grids wide, I have always thought about just taking it off to advoid a deadly flop, lol. Glad to hear all is well though

Thanks everyone. It didn't seem to phase him one bit, but yes, it was a bit scary, but mostly funny:biggrin2:.

Sas, now that is a bit scary:shock:. Silly Pipp. Glad she didn't get hurt;).

Funny I never really thought about it happening, usually when he's up there he lays in the meatloaf position and he always stays away from the edge. 1st time for everything...

WOW, SNUFF!! Bunnies always keep me guessin'...don't know why they wouldn't notice the EDGE...lol! I've had Fiver make silly mistakes like that before...

And LOL about Pipp tossing the plate, and then herself with it!!

:bunnydance:SILLY BUNNIES!!:bunnydance:

I know, Rosie, that's what I started to wonder, if maybe he didn't "sense" the edge maybe:?. Just quite strange for him to do that, lol.

What kinda stuff has Fiver done?;)

Hahahaaa....what has Fiver done....oh man...

He's a bit of a clumsy fellow, and we finally figured out that it's because his loppy ear covers his right eye almost completely, so that he can't really see out of his right side all too well! So, we were right about him not being able to see completely, but wrong about HOW that was happening...LOL!

This silly boy...he trips on things, sometimes he'll be bathing intently and at such an awkward angle, he'll kinda fall a bit and have to regain his balance. I've seen him kinda trip/stumble his way down the ramp. I would worry, except that I can tell that it's just a "can't see outta this side too well" sort of thing, or his attention just getting diverted from what he's doing at the wrong time, hehe... :)

I love my silly boy...:)
