Woah! Yeah our temperatures are nowhere near yours in Texas! We're at about 89*F here right now... But then again we don't usually get up to this high at all over here, it's quite rare. And like Fran said, the humiditeeeee! When I was in Sri Lanka a couple of years ago, the temp was about 40*C most of the time, but it was like a dry, hot burning heat, which was more bearable, where as this is just like being in a sauna.

Stupidly I called the doctors this morning and begged for an appointment for my cough and got one 15mins later. Cue dashing to the surgery in the horrible humid heat- I had a temperature when I got there that was probably due to the heat and rushing rather than my chest infection!

I've not straightened my hair all week- I just don't see the point when it's going to go in a big tangled frizzy mess at the back of my neck lol...

 ive just had my summer cut - 1 inch all over and the fringe is still curling:X

did get to spend some time in a nice air conditioned vets this morning tho' whilst the bunnies had their mixi and general check up.

Oh I know it has been so so hot all week. Yesterday I went to Leeds for the day and got the point where I was so hot I just wanted to cry. I don't handle the heat well! Luckily my animals seem to be handling it a lot better and haven't had any problems so far.:)

However, today it has poured down with rain. I drove one of my horsey friends to the stables to go riding and it started pouring as soon as we arrived, so we just spent 3 hours sitting on Smokey's stable floor chatting. I wasn't all that keen on the idea of getting soaked!;)I'm really not used to driving in the rain though and totally skidded past one of my turnings when I tried to break, that was a bit scary! Frankly I want the heat back, I'd much prefer the sun to this monsoon.:rollseyes

It's so nice out now, really sunny but totally bearable heat but I've got myself stuck inside glued to the Murray V Roddick match! Desparate for the loo as well but can't move!

My goodness! I know what you mean. I went to a Texas Rangers game (baseball team) on Tuesday and it was 92F (33C). A cool wave had come through but it brought in the humidity. It was unbearable! I feels like you're drowning as you breathe. Today I went to the Rangers game and it was around 98F (37C) and it was nice because the humidity was very low.

I live about 45 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico so its constantly humid. There are very few days I can even bother straightening my hair. Usually I'll just curl it with hair gel.

The winters here are really nice though. Temperate.

Crazy hot. I usually refer to where I live as Hell's Oven during the summer. Winters are nice though. :devil

So weird that we are experiencing a level 3 heatwave at the early - mid thirties here! But then the thing about heat in the UK is that it is soooo humid, not dry at all. Last night was 80% humidity I believe. It feels like living in a sauna. Plus nobody has aircon, and neither do most of the shops. I opened all our windows last night but the air outside was hotter than the air inside so it didn't work!
