Well, I got on him and he started acting up right then and then reared and fell down and then I think he rolled to the left to try to get back up and my leg got squished and I bailed. It was very sore and bruised for a week and there are still some deep bruises that hurt sometimes, but I was very fortunate.
I think something about his saddle pad was bothering him because he had never done anything like that before and we were riding in a different pad. I took it off and rode him bareback and he acted perfectly, not even fussing when I stopped him, which he generally did before.
Trailers can be spooky. Most of the times horses try not to hurt humans though. They are amazing animals. I bet Kota was really upset that he hurt you.
