My rabbit seems really bored. He used to play all the time but now just sits under the bed when Ilet him out,and does nothing in his cage. He loved playing with cat toys but ignores them. All he will play with is paper towel tubes :?.

Should I maybe get a few new toys and see if that help ? Also what store bought toys does your rabbit enjoy,I need some ideas .

Because he likes paper towel tubes, string some toilet paper tubes together with string through holes you make in the middle & hang it up where he can get at it. Also buy some brown mailing paper from Office Depot etc & give him big pieces of it to tear into smaller ones. I put it on top of Honey when I give her a new piece & she uses it as a cave for awhile before starting to rip it up.

Try hanging bird toys with the big bells at the end. Mine love them. :)
Got him one a few days ago that has 5 chews, for just $1.50(GREAT DEAL) and he has chewed on it so much . Wish I had bought them before, way cheaper than a rabbit kabob and has toys on it too ! :biggrin2:

Thanx everyone,I gave him a bird toy with chews and a new hidey house(boxes). Next time I go out I will get some more toys .

Are bird toys with rope/sisal safe for rabbits ?

I like to change up toys every couple of days and rotate thru them. Here are some of the favorites...

brown paper bags with shredded paper, plastic easter eggs that are easy to open filled with a treat, towels (so much fun- must binky), phone books, stuffed animals to groom, plastic bowling pins (fun to knock over), cat tunnels to run through, toddler stacking rings (this is her abosolute favorite).

I also place hay in tubes, cardboard six back holders and any other intersting bunny safe box or paper bag I come across. This keeps her busy for a little while.

Well he cant have plastic eggs because he always chews them up,and he has a brown bag. Thanks,I will try some of those :)

How is Paddy at stacking the rings in the right order?

With a rabbit smaller than Paddy, have the grocery bagger use paper bags now & then. Cut out the bottom of the bag & it can be used as a tunnel for awhile, then torn up. If he doesn't get the idea, put a treat in it.
