Hi Everyone Jasper my 10 year old lion head can only eat softened pellets due to the vet saying he only has spikes now and she advised to feed them this way. He does like them and has never eaten hay. I have got a probiotic powder to add to help his digestion but wondered if any other varied food can be given to offer variety. I rescued him 18 months ago and he’s in good health for his age. His pellets are Science Select which are good quality .

You can mash leafy greens/herbs in a mixer until it becomes a purée and add it into his pellets porridge. Maybe it can make the food more appetizing for him and make him eat more.
