Hey everyone!

So, Apollo has little red sores on his hocks (I’ll insert a picture). And I don’t want them to worsen or get any bigger. He’s has them for about three or four months now and we’ve taken him to the vet, they said they were fine but they wouldn’t heal over. I’ve talked about it in another thread.

He’s still pretty active and does his tricks and everything like that. So i don’t think that it’s causing him many problems. I do think that they’re reddening though!

I did take him to the vet and they said that unless it starts to bleed or cut open then it’s not serious. He’s not the most active rabbit in the first place so it’s hard for tell if it’s hurting him. But he runs around every night and he seems fine.

I’m just wondering can I put toddler socks on his back feet? Or something like that?

does anyone have any solutions for this sort of thing?

The picture is the only one I have of it. He never lets me touch his feet

Sorry, I kinda left you on this one, I got busy and forgot to respond. How is he doing? I agree with what your vet said about them not being serious unless they open up.

Looks like the fur is gone, but I don't see actual sores. So it's ok, it's an issues for bunnies with rex fur. You can try baby socks and see if he tolerates them. I've known people to use that self sticky elastic medical wrap too, just make sure it's not tight.

Thank you.

They got a little red one day but then they went back to normal (pinky sort of colour).

I’ll possibly test out baby socks, and see if he likes them. But I don’t think it’s a problem! Thank you!

that is a good idea! I think he will be fine but just keep monitoring him! I hope he gets better soon! He is so pretty, I don't think he will let anything happen to his pretty feet;):)
