Yeeeee, finally building up the guts to take a break from both rat and rabbit forums for a while.
Ryan and I talked a lot yesterday and we have decided to not get a room mate
. We aren't rich, but we aren't poor. We aren't starving and we still have money to buy things we need and a little extra to buy stuff for the pets or ourselves. So, after a long talk we decided that it really needs to be "just us". I have my "animal room" and he will now have his "guitar/music room". I think this will work out better for us and not cause conflict if we got a room mate, which was going to be Ryan's best friend.
I have been cat sitting two kitties for two weeks now. I don't regret saying that these lovely kitties have turned me head-over-heels for their love and attention. Ryan and I are discussing adopting/foster a kitty from Miss Kitty's Cat House. We are also going to be volunteering with my friend Karin at The Cat House every other Thursday, just to go in and play with the kitties.
I am already looking at a really cute tort kitty with blue eyes. Yeah, get this....a FEMALE CAT! I am normally not a cat lover and I ONLY have male animals...lol.
Anyway, Benson is doing great. He is a lover and doesn't mind being held like a baby. I love the little dude. I am still waiting to hear back from Kelly from Brambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue to see what I need to do, since technically...Benson "belongs" to them because Phil and Sherri didn't follow the contract that they signed 7 1/2 years ago.
My bunnies are all great too, very happy MOLTING bunnies :biggrin2:.
Leo-Skeo (my old rattie) has pumped right back to life, he is doing awesome. The ratties got a new cage the other day, too...it's much better! So, now I have 4 wire cages and 2 tanks that I need to sell. I am going to pay off my credit card with the money.
