So my Thursday started off bad. I had a flat tire! And I'm the type of person that plans everything out so when something doesn't go as planned, I lose my head a little. After a little while I eventually realise it's not so bad and figure out a plan but I tend to freak out at first. So here I am 4 hours away from home with a flat tire at quarter to 7 in the morning, no one to phone, and I don't have the strength to change the tire myself (would never manage to get the lug nuts undone on my own).

Anyways, I caught a ride to work with my roomie and conned a nice guy into changing my tire for me tonight. We get my tire off to find it has a BOLT in it. So tomorrow I will be taking it in to Tirecraft and getting my tire fixed if they can fix it! I really hope they can because I am supposed to move home on Tuesday and I can't make the trip on a space-saver spare tire.

But I guess at least I made itback to condoyesterday. It's just my luck in this town. I am here for not even a month and get rear ended, now a flat. ARG! At least if this happened back home I would have had family to help me learn to deal with it the first time.

i hate it when things go wrong.

looks like they should be able to fix it. i fixed worse in my days....might take a double plug.
if they say you should replace it.....whine and get misty and ask them if they can just fix it for now and that you'll buy a new one as soon as you can.
make sure you tip the guy who fixes it ;)

i've got a slow leak in one of mine and should really take it in to have it repaired.
my inspection is due next month so i'm hoping i can make it last until then. i'll get a tune-up and and oil change, too.

JimD, if they say it needs replacing I am just going to load the tire back into my trunk and my dad is coming up with my other tires. We were going to wait to put my summer (actually all season) tires on because of the chance of snow still but I have really good winter tires (my first winter driving soI got good one)that would cost about $150 to replace just the one!

Michelin X-Ice tires... Nice! :D I love winter tires. I have Bridgestone Blizzaks on my work van and Michelin's on my Odyssey. I would leave my winter tires on for a few more weeks. We are expecting more snow over the next few days. :(

That is a simple repair, all they need is a plug. It shouldn't cost more than $15.00.

Itook my Odyssey in for a rock chip in the windshield I got over the Easter weekend in Calgary. I had a 1 pm appointment today and when I got there, I still had to wait. There were two other people ahead of me. So by the timethey weredone, they didn't charge me! It was free because I had to wait. Normally a chip repair would of cost $35.00 :p

Oh wow - that's what I call a puncture!:shock:Good luck MBB and I hope they can fix it! (btw I love your new avatar!:hearts)

Today is pretty rubbish for me as I had a bit of a riding 'accident' yesterday so I'm pretty sore.:? Lets just saySmokey and Ihad a bit of a collision with a fence post and I was dragged out the saddle.:shock:plus now my knee (which took the bulk of the impact) is massively bruised and swollen so I can't move around much.:grumpy:probably for the best really as it means I have to revise (can't physically do much else!)but even still it's annoying.:rollseyes

The ironic thingis the same day I had been galloping him andjumping him over pretty big logs, but what makes me come off? A stupid fence post.:p

Ah well - weekend tomorrow!:biggrin2:
