Thunder Lightening and heavy rain

right it just started to hammer down and thunder and lightening. im currently introducing to rabbits to each other each one have neer experienced thunder one never has rain like this.

one is in the hutch the other is down stairs in the run with a carry box full of hay. any ideas of what to do as i lost a rabbit to thunder etc before but my dad wont let them in the house.

will they be ok ??

I would ask him again ..tell him the rabbit forum people said the bunieswould do better inside until the storm is over.
if he says no stay with them as much as you can and talk to them.

i don't know if you can give them something to calm them but I'll try to find out....

I gave them some extra straw to snuggle up n and put a cover over the run and hutch its no so bad now i so i just went out they seemed ok. the baby was a but timid but she has been like that since i got her yesterday. but i may get her and bring her in for a little bit

the one in the picture is Babette ..she just died after being sick a long time She was 7 yrs old and is a pure-bred mini-lop I have her as my avatar because I miss her and look at her ever time I post.

Is the storm over yet and is your bunny OK now?
 
Mine are house rabbits and they don't like the thunder. I can only image how scared a rabbit in an outside hutch would be.

I have nine rabbits in my one bedroom condo. Six are mine and three are fosters. My six are in exercise pens. The hay does bother bother my allergies but I put up with it. I have to clean their litter boxes every two to three days to keep the smell down.
 
umm i was thinking of maybe letting Molly in the house more as she doesn't mind contact even if it was the kitchen.

umm maybe ill see what happens. Molly was a little but as i said i bought her in but my other one was ok she just snuggled up in some straw but she hopping about as normal after. 9 rabbits!!! WOW x
