This afternoon I noticed that Thumper is not her normal mischievous self. She hops to a corner and if she's bothered at all she hops away to another corner. In the last hour or so she's been going into her cage and laying in her litterbox. Her ears are also cold where they are normally quite warm.

Physically she sits in a sphinx position and her head seems to vibrate forward and backward ( a very short distance). She's about 1 ounce lighter than she was in mid June. She now weighs 4 lbs 3 oz.

I remember a similar incident a month or so ago. Her ears were cold then as they are now. I gave her 1 ml simethicone (20 mg) and that seemed to fix her. I did that again a few hours ago and it hasn't seemed to help. I'm giving her another 1 ml now.

Her companion, Pegasus seems perfectly well.

Well, she seems better now, though her ears are still cold. It looks like she had gas and the simethicone fixed her. She ate a bit of broccoli a bit ago and has started drinking water again. She's even started nibbling hay.

When I gave her the second dose she sucked it eagerly from the syringe.

I'm tempted to say, false alarm but like most of you, I know my bunnies and can spot when they're out of sorts so I'm sure she was having a problem. I'm happy she seems better but I'm keeping a watchful eye on her.

Hey there - any other info you can give? How long has she been like this, is her tummy bloated, is she pressing it against the floor at all? Any change in eating, peeing, pooping?

Yes she was pressing her tummy against the floor while in sphinx position. She wasn't eating and was very sluggish. Right now she's just fine, even doing the "bunny 500" around my chair.

I'm pretty sure now it was a big belly-ache. I'm amazed and very happy at how quick she recovered.
