Thump has the run of the living room. When we gotr him I felt it would work best as we bought our home a year ago. renovated some of it and this is one room we haven't. It's in good shape, just things like we don't like the goofy green carpet so we didn't have to worry so much if it took him some time to litter train.

There have been no problems till recently. He started chewing our door frames. I did try distracting him from them by placing items he could chew nearby. The room has items he can chew through out it. I also tell him no and will stop him if he doesn't listen when I catch him at it.

My biggest concern since chewing wood door frames won't hurt him, is that he started chewing the plastic strip on the bottom of our front door. I will watch him closely for problems. What has worked for you to get a bun to stop chewing? I have tried bitter apple and it has not fazed him at all.

I guess I'm not that sure that chewing a door frame isn't a problem. What kind of finish does it have?

Diluted hot sauce is supposed to work. Honey is in an xpen, so I haven't had to deal with the issue. Hopefully other people can be of more help.

I used lime and lemon juice to stop mine from chewing. I bought it in the produce section of the grocery store and just dripped it on the problem areas. It worked for her. I tried bitter apple first but she really like the taste of that. You can also try a water bottle and squirt them if you catch them in the act. That worked for me too. I only had to use the water bottle a couple of times before she caught on.

I only meant that chewing a wood door frame is digestable by a bunny where plastic is not. Of course I only want him to chew his toys, provided wood that is completely safe or cardboard.

Thank you all. I will try those suggestions.

Some ppl have had luck with ivory soap, originwl too. He sounds bored, get him a couple paper sacks and boxes :)
