Super excited to fully remove the centre wall, add a little second level! I still want to add/adjust though - any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Skipper and Piper have done amazing being housed together, I’m super happy!

The only downside to the addition of an upper level is that it’s hard to get the fleece blankets to stay in their place now. What do you all use for non-slip flooring in your enclosures? I’m still changing them regularly because Piper is still getting the hang of litter training, not to mention that they are doing a ton of marking poops right now, so I need something machine washable for now. The little place mat things are $3 dish drying mats from Ikea and they are awesome, I wish they came in bigger sizes!!

You could use binder clips to hold the fleece on the shelf. (Or tablecloth clips)

The fleece on the shelf stays quite well because the wood underneath is textured, it’s just the fleece on the laminate that moves around. I’ve gotten a washable rug that stays put much better, and I’m not stressing about the other fleece for now, Piper likes to dig at it and bunch it up anyway!

Just wanted to update that Skipper and Piper are still doing amazing, it’s so fun to watch them, they are always “twinning” which is super adorable!

They are still poop marking like crazy, and Piper still likes to pee outside of the litter box from time to time, but I’m moving things around to see what she likes. It’s been not quite three weeks since she was spayed so there’s still some hormonal behaviour I suppose!

Also wanted to add a pic of their outdoor run! Now that the weather is warm here, I’ve been letting the bunnies be outside for a few hours a day. They really enjoy it! I feel like they could possibly jump out, so they are only in here when I am also outside, or washing dishes at the kitchen window, lol. They have never tried to jump out yet, and this is just temporary, we will make one more similar to the indoor one at some point, this was thrown together with some garage door panels that were actually supposed to turn into a raised garden, haha!



They have done a little digging in here, so I think we will need to perhaps bury these doors halfway into the ground, and then build a mesh and wood top for it.

Edit: oh! I forgot to add my question - is it possible that their time in the outdoor run is maybe hindering their inside litter training process? Outside they poop everywhere, they don’t seem to have picked a potty corner at all. Should I make an outside litter box or is that overkill?
