YESTERDAY I NOTICED THAT LOLA HAS BEEN PEEINGBLOOD. THE PEE IS RED AND BLOODY. ITS NOT ALOT OF BLOOD, BUT ENOUGH TOBE NOTICEABLE. IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG YOU GUYS????ANSWER FAST PLEASEIM WORRIED!!!:(

YES!! Are you sure it isblood? Sometimes my buns urine an orange-ish color.Sometimes even cloudy or milky looking? Has she beeneating? Excercising? Do you have a vet?Call the vet and make an appt. Or just take her in.Keep us posted!

I recently asked my vet about urinecolor.....with Corky being sick his has been funky. He saidit can be orange, red, weird shades of yellow, but if its blood, thenget him checked right away.....So I would be calling the vet andgetting an appt soon!

Please keep us posted and let us know what you find out...Sending good vibes your way!

You can generally tell when it is actually bloodbecause it will begin to clot and form strands that will separate fromthe urine. Reddish pigmentation of the urine doesn't formstrands.

Actual blood in the urine is a concern. Reddish/orange colored urine is not unusual.

HI GUYS,

I ACTUALLY TOOK LOLA TO THE VET ON SATURDAY. HE SAID SHE WAS EXTREMELYHEALTHY. HER PEE IS LIKE AN BRIGHT ORANGE/RED COLOR. IT LOOKED LIKEBLOOD TO ME BUT IT WAS KINDA MIXED IN WITH PEE AND LOOKED KINDA MILKYLIKE YOU SAID Kricket. MAYBE I AM JUST FREAKING OUT FOR NOTHING. I MEANHAVE YOU GUYS EVER SEEN BLOOD IN YOUR BUNS PEE OR IT JUST CHANGED COLORFORM TIME TO TIME?

Here is a link I found with an article on red urine in rabbits:

http://www.rabbit.org/journal/3-1/red-urine.html

When I used to have rabbits it wasn't unusual for me to seeorange-colored urine. I only recall twice ever seeing red urine...onewas with a doe who was getting quite old and had health problems; theother was a young doe, and after a few days (I think...it's been solong now that the time frame could have been shorter or longer) it didchange back to its 'normal' color. From what I understand it isn'tunusual for this to happen, but if it goes on for a while and you areconcerned, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have your bunny rechecked totest her urine for blood.

I agree. Our rabbits rarely have reddish or very orange urinefor any period of time. The few that do have a veryconcentrated urine due to illness.

My buns often have the reddish/orangepee. Abby peed on my friend's white carpet and instead ofbeing mad, my friend was just like "you're right, it isorange".
