My sweet sixteen is comming up, well, next year. I plan ahead alot as you can see. I have my theme already, black and white. Meaning everyone has to wear black and/or white except for my brothers and my older friends who asked if they could be 'security'. Anyways, I'll show you guys what I have so far.

Thisis what my three brothers are going to wear top wise. It will be the baby blue (second from last on the color line). With black pants. I tried to get them to wear pink but the oldest of my brothers refused -darn pride-. So baby blue it is.

I like thisdress, and this. But i'd rather wear pink. I like the style of both of them though.

I like these shoes to go with my dress, but maybe shave down the heel ? lool. Scroll down, their the third last. (second last row, last shoe)

I'd really like these cupcakes, their cute. Just a little plain.

As for food i'd just rather chips and little hours d'euvesand soda. Nothing big.

When everyone leaves I want to give them a little something to remember my sweet 16 so I found hersheys makes you customized chocolates at 1.99$ each ! I want the wrapper in the black and white. Here

I was wondering, does anyone know on average how much a DJ costs for like, 5 hours.

I'd love to have a big sweet sixteen (which is today) but sixteen isn't really a big thing here, 18 and 21 are the big ones :( I'm just going for a chinese with friends.

Very pretty dresses Brandy! I like the first link you put up, nice! Sounds like it's going to be a really fun party.:)

side note...Happy Birthday to Irishbunny

It's Ironic i made this thread then eh ?
Ya it is lol! I wish big sweet sixteen partys happened here, we don't have teen house partys here either, stupid lol.

Oooo!

I did the whole Sweet 16 bash thing and it was really amazing... Everyone had to wear pink and white, and it was really fun. We just had it at our home, but then again our house then was LIKE a hall, haha! It was big enough to accomodate all of the people I wanted so we just did it there. We had a DJ come out, but he was my sister's friend, so he did it as a gift. So can't help you on that front.

You know what we did that was fun? We had fruity drinks served in martini and margarita glasses that looked really cute. And they were all pink. :p Also we did Mojitos and Daquiris, which are possible to be made non-alcoholic. And be pink. :p

For the candles on the cake (Wait are you having a cake?!), each of them were lit by a different person. Like you choose 16 people you kind of want to honor and thank for being there for you... Your mom, dad, gramma, aunts, uncles, best friends, people like that.

Haha, I'm trying to think of all we did... I know the caterer stunk so we ran out to a local Mexican place and got take out!

I'm not sure what it's like in Canada....

Here in the US, we are in the Prom season (High School Formal for the last two grades) and there are always sales on prom dresses. Maybe if Canada has some sort of popular formal time frame, you could find dresses, shoes, purses at a discount rate.

You clearly aren't hanging out with the right people! When I was 15/16 I used to go to house parties all the time :S
Nah they just aren't really popular here, they are babyish according to some. Unless you count a house party as a sleepover with your friends, that's it really. For birthdays you usually go out like to the chinese and the cinema. Most people would rather die then invite friends back to their house, cause of their embarassing parents.

Hmm weird. Just do it when the parents aren't home :nasty:

Lol, well it is easier to have a ''house party'' in a field with a few litres of vodka, happy sweet sixteen :p

Anyways, this is a highjack, looks like your sweet sixteen is going to be really cool Brandy!
