Gizzy will be getting neutered next monday and with his history with snuffles, I was told the stress of surgery could cause an attack. As of a few days ago gizzy has been having sneezing fits and im wondering if we should postpone the surgery ?

First, "snuffles" is a relatively outdated term used to describe a set of symptoms, but not their cause. Has your vet told you what is actually wrong with your Gizzy? Has he been on any medications?

I would consult with your vet about it and take into account what you know to be normal and abnormal for your bun.
One of my rabbits, Fiona, sneezes all the time and always has. She's been medicated several times but nothing has solved our problem. A few months ago we found a lump on her that ended up being a cancerous mammary tumor. Even with her respiratory issues, she got through the surgery just fine.

He was diagnosed back in april and given a course of Baytril for 2 wks which had calmed it down almost completely, I know that some buns are carriers of pasteurella without being symptomatic. We are in the process of moving and the stress of it which would most likely explain why he has started having fits again. The vet doing his neuter is not the vet who diagnosed him.

All rabbits as well as every other mammal and birds carry pasteurella...including humans. Baytril lost it's effectiveness long ago. Vets that are on top of their game don't use Baytril any longer.....most vets don't even use it as a stand alone with dogs. If pasteurella is the problem, the drug of choice at this time is either Azithromycin or Convenia. Convenia is safe only as an injectable.
