Hello all im new to the forum and have tonnnss of question, well i got a bunny a few weeks ago, she is 14 weeks now and ive looked up and gotten all the books on rabbit behavior and care, well none of it seems to apply for my little roxy, she doesnt like to chew on stuff i bought sooo many toys and she likes none, she doesnt groom herself a lot nor does she groom her stuffed animal, she shows no fear to anything. my dog came up to smell her and she just sniffed back, she loveeeess to eat anything and everything. for instance she ate spaghetti out of my dogs bowl when she escaped, and jumped up on the dinner table and ate some halloween candy. she chose that over her usual snack. she hasnt really grown since i got her and hasnt been doing to good with her potty training. she also doesnt dig and doesnt play with any of her bunny toys but likes to chase cat toys... she is just a weird one.. any tips and advise would be really helpful, does anyone else have a strange bunny like this??

I think rabbits in general are strange animals.

I usually just give my bun cat toys that are safe for her to play with. She loves them. She also loves my cats and my dog.
You may not see her groom herself, but she probably does. Rabbits are really clean animals and groom like cats.

Your bun will get better with the litter box as she gets older and will get even better after she gets spayed.

As for the food, I wouldn't let her eat that stuff. I'm sure that it was an accident, but ya know, its not good. haha.

Holland lops I think are supposed to be like 2-4 lbs (someone correct me if I'm wrong), so they're pretty small. I don't know why she hasn't grown, maybe she has and you haven't noticed.

This is a great forum to learn a lot of things, there are a lot of people who are very knowledgable about rabbits and it helps when people have some of the same questions that you do. So you get answers for everything all over the place. Good luck with your new bun.

Also welcome to the forum! We love to see pictures of new buns!

Qtip likes cat toys (she steals them from the cat), but even more, she likes bird toys. She didn't start chewing her chew toys until she was about 5 months old, though.
I've never had a bun that's a stuffed animal groomer. Q will groom herself, groom me, and groom my bed, but I don't think it's all that weird that you've got a bunny who won't groom a stuffed animal. My dad's bunny likes human food, but we try and restrict her stealing. Sometimes she'll manage to filch a pita chip or a bite of pie crust, but we don't encourage it. Good luck with the new bun!

lol, whatever you do, don't let her find out she's supposed to chew and dig at everything!

my holland lop grew like CRAZY between 8 weeks and 12 weeks, but after that it slowed down a lot. yours will still be growing, but it won't be nearly as noticeable at that age (especially since you see her every day - I don't really notice it most of the time, but my neighbor who sees my bunnies a couple times a week does).

out of curiosity, do you use bedding in your cage? if so, using a towel or some fleece instead of bedding and only using bedding/litter in the litter box helps quite a bit. at that age, you should be able to convince her to get most if not all of her pee in the box... if you have it set up so she has to sit in the box to eat hay, you can also catch 70-80% of the poop that way but there will still be a lot of strays. age and, when the time comes, spaying should improve that a bit.

they produce like 500 poops a day, though, so the odds of ever getting them ALL in the box are pretty slim - they do need to hop out and go do other stuff sometimes, after all. luckily the poops are hard, dry and odorless so it's easy to just sweep them up.

Thank you all for the tips!! i will try the towel thing. she does ok with her poop its just like she wants to pee every where but in the litter box. and yes it was an accident she got to the food, we put it up when she is out usually but my husband isnt so vigilant with this kinda stuff so she got in it. and today we had candy corn on the counter and she jumped up there from a small stool we have for my 2 year old. and tried munching on that. i have a hungry hippo not a bunny!!
