It's as expensive to holiday in this country as it is to go abroad .. especially in the school holidays.

Heh .. I spent a good 40 minutes entering competitions to win holidays online yesterday .. keep your fingers crossed.

Really? I would have thought its a lot cheaper. Our B&B was about the same as a hotel in Spain or somewhere, but there are no flights to pay for... or travel insurance, or hire car. We got the train for £30. You get breakfast, spend a day at the beach and spend a bit on ice creams, bring sandwiches with you and maybe get takeaway for dinner. It was the cheapest holiday I've been on
