Stung Already!

Well, I can't believe it's only been a few days of nice weather and something stung me already.

The problem is that I am allergic to bees/stings. My whole arm is hurting. I took benedryl and I am about to fall over.... I am a weenie when it comes to drugs.

Thats not good.

Is it stinging or Itching.

if its itching I usually make a X with my nail ontop of it so it clearly shows an X on the sting and it will stop itching.

nope not itching - so I wonder if it might be a spider bite. It's still swollen and red and hurts some. The benedryl did help. However, I still have a headache and feel like yuck... that's typical of my reactions along with wheezing.

Aw, Poor bo, at least it wasn't a bee or wasp. Sounds like a spider bite possibly and if I remember right, a headache is a side effect from them.

Yikes!

When I took my spider to the doctor it was hard to tell what kind he was - I left him in a jar but it was on the table with sun shining into it...

He was possibly a brown recluse but I learned that only 50% of the time do they inject the venom. My ankle is ok, it was sore for a while andI still have marks but not too bad. I was told not to shave around the area for a while so I don't irritate the site and I had to take benadryl to be on the safe side.

Wow! and you know that other spiders and even non-venomus snakes can really give you a bad bite....

My arm is still achy there. If I touch it - it feels like someone punched me and I'm bruised. It's that way around about an egg sized shape around the bite/sting.
