We have a bonded pair of 3-year-old mini-rex rabbits which live indoors most of the time (especially this time of year). In the summer we try to let them spend as much time as possible in the daytime in their outdoors hutch but in winter they spend all day indoors in our kitchen/dining area. Both our boy rabbit (Bing) and our girl rabbit (Bindi) were neutered at 6 months of age. Bing doesnt seem to have received the memo about stopping the spraying behaviour after being neutered, and has continued to do this on a daily basis (often 2-3 times). Their living area is a very good size in our kitchen/dining room. Bing doesnt wander out of the dining area, and although Bindi also spends most of her time there, she does love a run around the whole house. Both rabbits use the litter trays consistently, but they increasingly use the space outside their tray for pooping (a lot) and Bing also sprays. We are tearing our hair out as our living space is being ruined by this cheeky behaviour. Any ideas welcome, thank you!

Is it just your male, or are both spraying and poop marking? Is it actual butt flinging and spraying the urine, or are they possibly just dribbling drops of urine as they hop? Have either had any tests done, like a urinalysis? Any odd health symptoms that could be related, like excess calcium in the urine?

Has the urine spraying been going on consistently since he was fixed or did it gradually worsen? It now consistently happens every day? Anything seem to be a trigger, like getting excited over meal time, or maybe when your female bun leaves their main area without him or when she returns?

For their area in the kitchen/dining room, do they have access to the whole room 24/7, or do they have a sectioned off area as their home base that they are put in at night and/or when you're out and they don't have supervision? How many litter boxes do they have available to them in their area and the rest of the house? Any other pets in the house, or visitors on a regular basis?
