Oh, God, Pam! Don't wish that on us! The thoughthas occurred to me, too, that vets have been know to make mistakes inthe past. I'm hoping, however, due to the fact Ernest(ine) isalmost three, it shouldn't be difficult for an "expert" to determinehis/her sex; or, maybe, thedoctor'llfind"evidence" of a spay or castration that we were unable to find.

I think, based upon behaviors, it's a doe. Have to be a pretty skittish buck to be a male, methinks.
