Ever since I got Benji I've noticed little spots in each ear- 1 in one and 2 in the other, almost like warts but obviously not on a rabbit.

I've spoken to the vet and they say they are fine- in fact i've brought the subject up twice with them- but they just say these are from where he was bitten by another rabbit.

It just sounds a little strange to me- they look like spots- not scars.

Anyone else's rabbit got these?

Rabbits can get viral warts just as humans can.

The raised areas can also be due to bites or injury.

I have a Rex buck who got bitten by a rat and has scars inside his ear. They do look and feel like spots, so your vet is probably right. If that is what they are, poor Benji was unlucky to get bitten in both ears!

herman has a few of them in his ears. . .

they are just scar tissue from bites, or other injuries (maybe one day he nicked his ear while scratching?)

as long as they don't continue to grow larger, i wouldn't be worried about them

Hi,

Could be a scar from a tick or possibly a bite...or it could be a papilloma (it's late and that might be spelled incorrectly) which is basically a wart. We have had some removed from a rescue's foot. No big deal....no problem. The only reason we removed it was that she would scratch it off and it would bleed. I would trust your vet's judgement on this one.

My rabbit has something like that. Her name isTeacup. when she was little she pulled out2 pecies of wood that held one of our windows up. It fell down and traped her, if it had gone downa cm further it would have crushed her. Luckly it didn't, we freed her from the window, her ear was cut (but not baddly).Ever since she's had a little red lump on the edge of her ear.

Hope that helps!:)
