Tiana and Kia went in for their spays at 8 am and we were discussing with the vet tech at the desk the benefits of using lasers in the surgery for rabbits. Since we have two buns, one that is far more nervous then the other, we decided to have the laser used for Kia but not Tiana since I don't think Tiana will have unexpected complications, but Kia seems like she will be more sensitive about the after-op care.
So I thought I might just record things on this thread and take daily pictures to show the difference in healing between the two. I've always been curious if it truly does make a difference so now we'll see! There is a $70 difference between using and not using the laser so it might be good for some people to see if the cost difference is something they would want to consider, if their vet offers the option.
Kia and Tia will be heading into surgery around 11:30. Wish them luck!
