I think thats very true - everything does happen for a reason.

I have wanted one of these cavies for years (literally) but never seem to be set up for one, or financially able. They're hard to find as well, but I'm fortunant enough to know a family who has them - and some of their extended family also has an unrelated pair. Maybe I'll shoot for getting one from each so I can have my OWN pair, LOL!

I also adore English Lops and they're almost impossible for me to get here as well. I'm kind of at an either/or stage - I'd love to have a patagonian cavy, or an english lop. I just hate that I had another cavy at my fingertips and it slipped away.

Maybe its a sign overall, just to not have more pets for a while.

OH! I don't think I've told anybody about this...

A couple months ago, I almost adopted two girl buns that needed a home...they were a good distance from me, and we would've transported them with the Bunderground, but for some reason, I just had a FEELING not to go for it...I couldn't tell ya why at the time, and felt REALLY horrible saying no...but I just couldn't say yes.

Well, the NEXT DAY, I logged in here, saw the Rabbit Haven's plea for Fiver's life, and knew INSTANTLY he was for me, that he was searching just for ME...and I had to save that little boy's life.

Now, I realize that I had to say no to those two girls to make room for this fantastic, sweet, amazingly loving little boy in my life! And he's so wonderful...I can't imagine my life or our warren without him!

Again, if I'd taken those girls, I wouldn't have even LOOKED at their pleas for Fiver's life...and would've missed out on such an amazing little boy...one that I am convinced was meant just for me.

So, I believe it'll work out somehow...I really think there's a reason for things like that. I know of time and time again where a friend was disappointed in not getting this or that bun or animal they really loved, only to come across their dream/heart animal a few days later...and never regretting their decision.

I know what you did for your friend was out of love, and that will be rewarded. Who knows? Maybe the person that bought the baby will decide not to take him after all, and your friend still gets to keep the money...or something along those lines?

You'll find who you're looking for...that much I'm sure of...:hearts

And, ya know...I couldn't think of a more appropriate story to be my 8,000th post...:D
