Lula, have you also posted in The Infirmary thread about your bun? RO mods will move your question shortly I suspect, as input in the Infirmary section will bring help on her red anatomy. Darling avatar!
If you are really worried about a health issue with your rabbit, then possibly a trip to the vet is in order. Don't wait if you think there is something seriously wrong with your bunny.
Sounds gross, but many people on here will not be able to help you without a picture.
Is the bunny eating, drinking, pooping, still? Seem lethargic?
yes he seems fine but he seems a bit agitated and he is also biting me sumtimes :S hes 6 months old now and i dnt know if it is a male or female yet..maybe its a mating season i dnt know :S
If not I would suggest taking him to the vet when you can>
Is this something that you just noticed and may have been that way or did it occur very quickly ?
If your bunny is a female, the genitals will darken to a purply-red when they are ready to breed. That is normal, and the colour will change as she becomes more or la
If it looks like blood in the genital area, that is very serious.
I agree that a picture might be helpful. Has he been pooping regularly? Do you notice him straining to urinate or notice any difference in the color of his urine?
Could be syphilis looks sore enough to be sometimes it just looks red ans swollen and sometimes it can also looka bit scabby too. If it is then its def. a trip to the vets.
I'm sure that it can be treated but it's important to find a vet who knows rabbit medicine and treats pet rabbits.. Rabbits need different care than cats and dogs and many medicines that are good for them are harmful to rabbits.
here 's an article that that you can use to call around and see you can find one OK?
