Ok, so I want to get into showing rabbits ... butI am CLUELESS !

Can someone give me the "dialog" (I guess that's what you'd call it) of show terms and their meanings ?

Like, in a show listing, what does "OPEN" mean ?

For Example :

BALTIMORE & HOWARD COUNTY R&CBA (OPEN) (WEST FRIENDSHIP)

(a listing from ARBA)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
I would really like an entire listing of show terms (and/or all rabbit terms) and their meanings. Pwease ??
Looks like Revverress nailed it =) Great terms site by the way ;)
A great thing that you should consider getting is the ARBA's "Standard of Perfection." It lists many terms, as well as the complete standard of every recognized breed in America. It's really helpful when it comes to breeding, picking out a new rabbit to enter into the herd, and showing. It shows you what to aim for with your breed. You can get this book at pretty much every show. They normally sell for around $10 (correct me if I'm wrong... it's been almost three years since I get the last one.) They make a new "Standard of Perfection" every five years. The newest one will come out in 2011, as the current one is 2006-2010.
