Hello!...I've been reading the forums for sometime now..Nice work everyone!..I love all the great information. Myquestion to you is..I've been starting Rabbit 4-H, I need a showrabbit, and I'd like to use one of my own breeding, I need a youngerrabbit so I'd like to use one out of my current litter, although thedoe I bred only had 2 kits which doesn't give me very much choice, Thelitte kit I'm thinking of, is a more Dilute tri...Do you think hercolour is acceptable in the ring? What do you think of her? Good choiceor not? Thank you for your help.

I'm not sure, if she is showquality, but from the pictures her colors look like my Basil (mini rex in myavatar). Basil is show quality.

From what I can tell, he may not have enoughblack to be a well marked tri. He would still be showable, but would get a fault. My Mini Lop who is a orange and whitetri, doesnt have a lot of black, but has never been dq for it, justfaulted. The best thing to do is to see what the judge thinks, and thendecide what you want to do.

It's not a dilute tri, it is a black/orange tri that lacks balance in color and pattern (unbalanced nose marking).

Type is by far the most important consideration (45 points), fur issecond (35 pts.). The color and pattern (broken down to 10& 5 points for broken & tris) would betwo ofthe last considerations. To win, the rabbit must have goodtype and fur first, and would only be slightly faulted for the unevencolor and unbalanced nose marking.

Coats are all fantastic in the litters I have had, I've never gotteninto showing rabbits, and I realize these pictures aren't of themposed, they are just fun pics.

Here is the Tri's Sister, I'm unsure what to call her, She could be aproject Choice as well, Depending on what everyone thinks of her.

Hi Pam!..Thanks for your input too...It helps a lot.
Can you have a good idea of her quality of type in a few months, by looking at her now? What do you think of her?

Thanks
Sarah

The tri sister is booted (over 50% color is aDQ). Keep an eye on the type -- right now is too early totell. You should be able to get a good idea at about 8 weeksof age which kit is going to be short coupled and have good depth aswell as a smooth body.

Despite the fact that none are posed, they all strike me as qualityanimals and the coats appear very dense (from what I can tell in thephotos). -- Looks like you've got some very nice stock.

(It's getting late and I just skimmed the posts, if I missed any part of your question, let me know).
