Hey, Im a first time bunny owner andIwas wondering how to tell there sex. I seen alot of sites online but istill cant really tell. I am thinking it is a boy. He/she is around 3months old so I should beable to tell. There are these bare patchessomewhat near the gential area, maybe its the testies?? But when icheck the area it doesnt look like a penis! so if anyone can help itwould be great.
I was also wondering how much my bunny, at 3 months, should weigh. he/she seems pretty small.

Sorry, this is probably a VERY common question and probably postedalready! ill look around again but i would really love some help.

Sexing a baby bunny takes lots of practice. They're little parts are so tiny it's hard to see sometimes.

The best description I can give you is, when you pull the genitalsapart, the penis will look like a little doughnut, and the vagina willlook like a taco. Make sure to have a good light source too,a shadow in the wrong place can make it even harder.

As for the weight, it all depends on what breed your baby is.As long as you give unlimited high quality pellets (about 16% protien,and no seeds or "junk food"), and unlimited hay till your bun is about6 months old, their weight should be okay.

If the ribs/spine/hips seem to be very prominant, and the belly isn't really round, then I would be concerned.

Do you have some pictures of you bunny? We would love to see,and I'm sure it will ease some of your worries about weight and size.

Sounds like it could be testicles to me....
