I am a new bunny owner and lately Lily is digging and burrowing lots in everything and she's very lazy round her cage. I live in a small apartment while going to school, but when at my parents house Lily gets to run outside her cage all the time and gets lots of attention. Could she be bunkering down for winter? Is it the sudden decline in attention? or something else? plz help I'm kinda worried

If you recently moved, she could just not be happy about the change. You being at school does also change her routine, so that can affect her as well.

Try interacting with her more while you are home and give her some new toys to play with (not all at once though). If you can, try setting up a pen around the cage so she can come out during the day while you are gone.

As long as she is still eating and pooping, she should be fine and just needs time to adjust. It can take a week or sometimes longer for them to be back to normal, so just try to keep her happy until she decides to come around.
Stick to a routine as much as you can. Try to feed her at the same time each day and let her out at the same time. This can help her to know what to expect.

Digging is also just a fun rabbit activity. Maybe provide her with some cardboard or something that she can dig at and destroy to get out her energy.

How much time are you able to give her out of her cage every day? Rabbits sleep pretty much the entire day, so don't worry about her then - it's during the evening that she'd probably like to come out and burn some energy. She might just need more time out of her cage so she's not expending energy just by digging.

The change in her behavior from one place to the other is probably just the result of her adjusting from one place to another. Just give her some time and lots of attention and she'll be back to normal.

It's possible your rabbit is a little stressed. During times of stress its really best just to let your rabbit be alone and settle in.

what about cage biting? what causes it and how do i fix it... she does it at 6:30 in the morning and its miserable to try and sleep through
She maybe bored. Does she have plenty of toys, cardboard to play with?

our Lily cage-bites to let us know she's ready to be fed and we're taking too long Lol. and I am thinking her compulsion to dig so much right now is age related. bunnies go through an adolescence phase when they are really diligent about chewing, digging, and exploring EVERY surface possible. I hear it usually lasts until 1 years old, but it's my experience that it depends on the individual bunneh. we've had a bunny still acting like an adolescent come 3 yrs old and one that stopped at a bit over a year old. try to have patience and redirect her natural urge to dig by giving her a dig box. I recide in an apt as well, and know quite a bit about making apartment living with bunnies work ; )
