Yeah, that's why i've been fussy tonight. I've read loads on spays being harder/taking longer to recover from than neuters, and the fact that Iris had harboured a cancer about to knock on her health, it mustn't've made it easy. Besides, she's only been with us since sunday, so she was still in the middle of getting to know her new home. I could've waited a bit longer with her spay, but with her narrowly escaping a potentially lethal and totally preventable illness, boy am i glad that we went with the nearest time presented to us.It must be much more invasive for the spays I can imagine! I've only had boys but I have heard that spaying recovery can be very tough!
She's been about 4 hrs without me hovering around her, she has her hay, greens, pellets and a lower litterbox, so i'll see in the morning if she's eaten anyting noticeable. I don't think that she'll waddle over to her bottle, but we'll see.
