Ruby and Leia Post Spays

Nick call around to a few rescuses in the area and they use Animal Coalition is a Spay/Neuter Clinic so that's all they do. I have been really sick the last few weeks so I was out of the loop. We just knew that i was TIME to get it done soon. They are both 6months old and boy there hormones were taking over.

They were both spayed yesterday and are home now and seem fine. I did ask Nick to find out about pain meds, but he didn't bring any home. I also found that their feet and bottoms where soaked with urine so I wonder if they were stuck in there carries all afternoon.

My question is should i schedule them an appoitment with a vet to check and make sure everything is good.

Things I've done so far was clean litterboxes so I can make sure they are pooping/peeing and they are. They are eating very little. I haven't seen them drink. Pretty much just laying on there blankets or laying in the litter boxes.

All my other rabbits where already fixed when I got them so this is my 1st time.

You should take them to a vet who will give you pain meds ..they need them

Not much of a spay/neuter clinic if they don't give pain meds. Would you like body parts removed surgically without pain meds? I certainly would not. I would seek out a real vet and get pain meds.

grinding, huddled, not eatting after 24hrs. bitting any thing... ect.
but rabbits hid the pain really well.

Make sure yourself they are giving proper pain medicine and amount. My vet refused to give Becca anything but he told me of a vet that would :?

Becca layed a lot and licked her tummy when she hurt.

They are both doing really well. They where pooping and peeing yesterday. They are very active already so I did let them have a bit of time out of the cage today. They don't seem to be in any pain.

I wanted to know how much should 6month old Mini Rex's weight? Ruby weights 3.14 and Leia 5lbs she's sold not really fat but i was surprised it said she weight 5lbs

I can't answer about the weight of of mini-rex
a mini-lop adult would weigh about 5lbs or so

If you don't get an answer here ask in the rabbitry
5lbs seems like a big 6 month old
