hi,

my bun, maomaochiu has been shedding heavily in the last month or so,and i've been brushing him. the other day, i decided t otrythat roller thing with sticky paper on him, and it did get a lot of hair off, and maomaochiu did not seem to mind it.

i'm just curious to know if anyone else has done it, or should i not do it this way. i think it is more efficient than brushing the hair off

thanks.

ps, maomaochiu asks, "don't ya'al like my curve?":D

I think its fine as long as it doesnt stick to him or anything. I know some people who have bunnies who shed a lot will brush with one hand and vaccuum the hair with another :D

I think it might be more expensive for you though, those rollers are kinda pricey. But hey, whatever works!

Oh, and very cute pic. Hes gotten so big when I compare his recent pics with his baby pic in your avatar. How much does he weigh now?

Hey that sounds like a good idea! I was just using the roller in Cocoa's cage and on his box and it worked well. I'll see if he minds me doing it to him. He always seems a bit scared when I brush him!

Hi Haley, thanks! you are always sonice :). I've tried the vaccum thing, but maomaochiu got scared of the sound the vaccum made.

Maomaochiu weighsabout 6.5-7lbs now. a big handsome boy with lots of love. He is so friendly with almost everyone. always jumps onto me while i was sitting on the couch or a chair. he even licks my friends hands.

Kim, Iroll the roller with sticky paper very gentelly on him,and i guess to him, it feels like a full body massage. for every brand new paper, i roll it on myself first so that it would not be too sticky on him. because once i did it to him, and it stuck LOTS OF hair off him. at that speed, maomaochiu might be bald before too long.

Snuffles is shedding a lot now too, actually, moulting. It was rather warm for Thanksgiving here, so we took the buns outside. My husband does this rough him up thing, like rubs him all overand it loosens a lot of the hair and then we start pulling it off (hoping the breeze is blowing away from us ).

I did the same thing w/ BunBun, seems to work better than just a brush, cuz you can pull tons out at a time. Then use a brush. You wouldn't believe all the hair! I think since he started this, about 5 bunnies have come off him! There's always a lot in his cage too. But when it's warm out, that's what we do, then it's not all over the house. :D

I used the rollers too, but I find itquicker to use the vacuum.

There's a brush that I just picked up. It's called the ShedEnder. I'm using it for my dog and rabbit.
It is good for the undergrowth andit saves me fromplucking the fur by hand.
A metal flea or lice combs would probably work the same way as the ShedEnder,
but it is only one of a combination of different brushes I have.
