I have no idea what happened but a friend just came on MSN and told me my phone was going to answerphone. Pick it up, it's switched off. Take the cover off and the battery out....

UH-OH! It's covered in water!!!

The liquid damage indicator is turned pink (normally grey) so there's no way a warranty repair would work-they'd tell me I accidentally damaged it...

It's currently in an incubator (aka airing cupboard) trying to dry it out....

I don't think it's going to make it!! :( :p

Yeah I did! Although I left the SIM card in!!!! *dashes upstairs*

Why does this have to happen AFTER everyone has already got my Christmas presents?!!

LOL! I know, I wish they would! :p

My phone LIVES!!!! :biggrin2: It was in the airing cupboard for about 2 hours and now is working ok.... I think. It's switched on at least.... The time was reset back to Jan 1st 2007 lol...

Is it bad that I'm kind of disappointed? I actually hate this phone and would love a new one.... I just can't afford to replace it right now :(

My Grandad dropped his phone in a pond, (or rather dropped himself in a pond with the phone in his pocket) and I put it in the oven. It works perfectly although there is some screen damage.

It was in the oven, just on the rack for about 8 hours on very very low heat.

We cooked it until golden brown and crispy, and until the juices ran clear.

You must have taken the skin off if it dryed out :p

M_C what model of phone is it?

My sister put her cell Phone thru the washing machine but didn't realize till after she was pulling the clothes out to put them in the dryer. It died too.
I did that with my old RAZR phone. I didn't find it until AFTER the dryer cycle. The little water strip was pink on mine, too. But the idiots at Sprint didn't check that when I took it in and I got a new one ;)

Can't you get a free phone if you sign a new contract? I signed for an additional two years with my provider and got a spiffy new LG Shine for free.

I'm on my 3rd replacement....

it turns itself off at random intervals, the battery life is only good if you don't use it, the backlight gets brighter and dims randomly when you're texting (that's on all 3 models), sometimes when I get a text, it shows that it's from one person when it's actually from another- that could be VERY bad when replying to sensitive info!! That's also on all 3 models...

Writing a text is sooooooo slow...

The text message memory is tiny- so I have to empty it all the time, whereas with my Sony Ericsson I could fill as many messages as my memory card could handle. The software that came with the phone is AWFUL and only works when it feels like it....

I honestly with I had never swapped my Sony Ericsson. That phone served me so well!

That phone of yours sounds terrible. Try dropping it into a hot cup of coffee with milk instead. It worked for me. Killed my phone stone dead:biggrin2:

Let it "accidently" fall into the toilet after the flush, If you don't have a plumber in your family should be gone for ever. Sadly my semi plumber brother managed to retrieve mine:(

It sounds like such a rubbish phone you could even return it for not doing its job properly. I only ever had nokia phones and never any problems until the battery ran out

I've not had a single problem with mine. It works wonderfully! Maybe you are just having bad luck :D I charge mine every four days, use it for maybe 15 texts a day and a few calls? Mine holds 200 text messages or thereish which is fine for me :D

"what? you mean like when a kettle dosent boil?"
"Yes, thats exactly it"
"Oh. OK. One moment please *runs into back and lets off two gun shots* . :( I am sorry ma'm, but I cant, you see my boss died. He was always the one that dealt with this kind of stuff"
"oooookkkk....:?"

:p Sorry I am being an idiot now (nothing new there)lol.
