I don't think the baby is a magpie. Don't they have different colored feet and two colored faces? No the bunny is just nicely marked. I am going to take more pics tonight or tomorrow morning, some individuals, and post them. Stay tuned!
I am continued to be amazed at the size of these babies. They have easily doubled if not triped their size since I discovered them last Tuesday. All fat and cuddley and sleeping all huddled all the time. So cute!
Today I changed their bedding as I noticed a not so sweet smell and saw manylittle tiny tiny poos on their blankie.
So now they are clean and fresh again. Mama Ringie checked them out and I wasn't so sure if she would approve of the new bedding, but she didn't kick it out thank goodness. She sat by the opening and deliberated for a minute though. I covered them up with some new fuff and they seem to be quiet and content.
I have given Ringer two baby oil treatments to her ear and I hope it is working. I have decided no strong medicines for now, no insecticides, with the wee babies. Apparently the oil with drown the mites and slowly the crusty stuff will slough off. As I say I don't know where she got them. She is always inside except for the screened porch. Who knows? I'll have to check again. Though she has been scratching, it didn't appear too bad to me. It wasn't very extensive/
Darn if it isn't one thing, it's another.
Oh and i got three nails clipped last night before Ringer started shivering and getting stressed. So I stopped for now. I don't want her to get upset and stay away from the babies. She sure does needthem clipped though. She is a little devil. Actually retracts them when I start. It's like pulling teeth.
