I do have a few eligible bachelors here too! lol

Her setup is awesome!

Has she been spayed yet? That really helps with behavior.

She has not been spayed yet. I am having a bit of trouble finding a vet that can do it. One vet qouted me $75 until they found out she was female then they said they weren't sure if they could do it. Hmmm.

I will get her spayed then begin to consider a friend. I thought her space was too small for two, but by the sounds of it, I was wrong!

Hey I have an idea if you would want to do this- Im going to have to schedule a spay for a female who is coming here hopefully this weekend. Im hoping to get her in next week for a spay.

I have to drive down to near Plymouth to have her spayed since the vets around here charge upwards of 300. The vet there works with our rescue and charges like 80 for a spay. If you wanted, I could take your girl with me when I go down. But you'd have to bring her here (near Flint) sometime before next week. Just a thought...

Good idea Haley! :)I just wanted to say that I am glad to read that your girl is still with you and WOW her space is great, it's huge, way more than most bunnies have. I think a bunny buddy would be perfect - but either way she has a great set up. You did a really great job with it :biggrin2:

What day would you need me to bring Amina down if she were to go with you? I may be able to go ahead with it and where near flint are you?

Just let me know!

Well if everything went as planned and I can get this girl bunny this weekend, I'd like to have her spayed Thursday but I have to be there very early.

So she could come any day before then and she can stay for a few days after if need be. That vet charges 85 fora spay :)

Oh and I livein Grand Blanc.

Also, if that doesn't work, I think MSU has relatively inexpensive spays through their veterinary teaching hospital.

You have a bunny girl named Brigitte. Did you get her from Midwest Rabbit R&R?

Laura

I ask because I know that you were having some health issues with her and I'm really curious how she is doing.

My daughter and I almost adopted Brigitte last June, but we weren't fast enough. You scooped her up instead. We were happy to hear that she got a good home, but saddened to hear recently that she has been ill.

How is she?

Laura

Are you available to come out to Los Angeles and build my bun Baxter! a new play area? Thats fantastic!

So funny, I went through the exact same thing last week and after getting much the same advice from individuals on this forum - all has gone really, really well. So your not alone in worry and at least you know the advice they give does work.

Good luck and send more photos please..

She is taking a trip down to Haley's tomorrow for her spay later on in the week. Then when the time allows (after proper healing and equalization of her horomones) I think she will be going on some dates to find a pal!

Thanks everyone for the kind words of encouragement and special thanks to Haley for being so generous!

Shes here and shes settling in nicely! She is a very sweet girl (and very very tiny!). She and Karat/Amber are in the same room so we'll see how that works. For now she seems to be ok with it.

Zach, is was so nice to meet you. I'll keep you posted this week on how shes doing and how the spay goes on Thursday :)

it was nice meeting you too! It feels good to know Amina is in good hands. Tell her I said Hi!

I can't get over how cute all of your bunnies are, Biggie Max basically melted me.
