Gosh I've been watching Oprah this week and yesterday she had the famous Dr Oz on. She was talking about the "Real Age" test. Well I did it last night and my "Real Age" is pitiful.

I guess this just proves that I really must get my act together and start to take care of myself. I must start exercising, I think I will start with walking then proceed to some kind of weight training. Not too much though because of of my back and knee problems. I really need to start reading the ingredients in food too.

Has anyone else taken the test? I'll tell you my age once I know if others have taken the test.

Susan:)

Weight training is something every human should do - bearing weight on your bones strengthens them, and it's just absolutely wonderful exercise. I will never ever not weight train in my life, if I have access to dumbells etc. We are meant to do it, our bodies are made for it.

Weight training has helped my partners back as well, he had a prolapsed/colapsed disc and his dr said it healed twice as fast because he drinks lots of water and works out with weights.

I haven't seen the real-age thing but mine would be bad because of my weight I am guessing, is there an online link for it?

My actualage is 26.1 and my "realage" is 29.5 according to the website. It says I suffer a lot of stress but I don't, so not sure on that :p.

I'm 26, but my real age is 34.7 good good, lol.

Ok I'll tell you mine. I'm 52 (but a young one). LOL But it says i'm .................

70  Good God that's rediculous.

So now you see why I have to eat better, exercise .....

Susan:grumpy:

This is scary!

My calendar age is 24.6 and my 'Real Age' is 30.5!!!:shock::shock:

Terrifying!

Supposedly the main things are too much stress, too much red meat, having a high BMI and not exercising enough. Also not managing depression, which I don't do because I don't really get it all that often and haven't for ages, but it asked me have I ever suffered from it! Silly thing :p

Scary though, very scary....

I wasn't thrilled with my results.

I'm 48.3 and my "real age" is 55.4 - which isn't as bad as I was afraid it would be....

Bleugh. Not fair.... I wish my difference was smaller!

Apparently not knowing my blood pressure makes me older as well... I don't know how I would know that unless I either took it at home or had just been to the doctor... The only time I've ever remembered it is when I've been in hospital, and then it's always been low lol. I don't understand blood pressure at all- I always have to tell my mum (a nurse) and then ask her if that's good or bad lol :p

I also have no idea what my cholesterol level is... Nor do I want to!

Cool! I'm 28.0 and my real age is only 30.3. That's not nearly as bad as I thought! I really have to up the fitness, that's really hard to convince myself to do with fibro even though I need it more. It helped a lot that I don't drink or smoke, plus they didn't ask about my family history for diabetes. Yeah this girl's getting Type 2 when she's 40, guaranteed. And of course I still can't get myself to keep my weight down...

They have some interesting recipes on the website. I might try some.:D

I keep refreshing my e-mail, hoping I got my results! It's been about 20 minutes. I weigh more than I should and haven't been exercising properly, but I'm in the process of losing weight through healthier eating and we bought an exercise bike. When school starts up again at the end of the month, I'll have access to the gym and plan to lift weights twice a week. I used to be an exercising and yoga fiend, so I know I can do it. It will be curious to take the test again in 6 months and see what my "age" is then!

Okay, got my results! I'm 23.8 years old and my RealAge is 25.2. That's not so bad, and actually lower than I thought it would be. It says I have good habits and health, but need to exercise more and get more of some vitamins.

I'm 44 and it says my real age is 48. I think some of the questions were hard to answer and some of them I answered yes to, and they said I wasn't doing those things.:?

Not sure I believe that test, seems to have some holes in it.

OK so so far I'm the worst on here, how depressing is that. Honestly I don't think I look my age but if I listen to them I'm an OLD BAG.
