Good luck with the x-rays! Mine had one done ofher, although it was expensive, it wasn't $600! They told me they wouldneed to put her under, but then when I got there, the vet burrito-edher and off they went! I was amazed, haha. That was such a nice offerfrom your vet!

We'd love to try and do something nice for yourvet on RO -- for sure you can put a strong 'recommended' note in theVets listings, and/or a forum-wide 'Thank-you', or whatever you and hewould feel comfortable with. (It's a balancebetweenhelping to advertise his practice but possibly notmentioning his kindness in case he thinks others may expect favours aswell, although I don't think that will be the case).

Hugs and Nose pats!

Wow...so happy to hear that he's doing better, and that your vet was so wonderful about everything! :D

He'll be in our prayers...

Yes, I agree Pam...I'm so grateful to be gettingthis break for x-rays! I'm hoping they will shed some light on thingsand (crossing fingers) maybe there will be something that can help Raphas a result.

Sas, that's a really nice idea about recognizing my vet in some way, asI am so grateful to him for this...as well as in histreatingmy other pets in the past. I woudn't put him on a recommended listthough...at least not for rabbits, as he isn't bunny-saavy (he'dprobably be offended if he knew I felt this way :?). He had recommendedtaking Scooby off his food the day before surgery, for example...till Imentioned that rabbits shouldn't be off all food for that long.Andwe did lose Scooby when he went in for surgery.:(My relationship with my vet is kind of two-sided...on onehand, I am quite hesitant when it comes to taking my rabbits to him,but on the other hand, he's been treating my cats and dog for years andhas been great with them, and is quite compassionate...and as a personI think he's wonderful. However, he is my only option as a vet, since Ihave no vehicle and am forced to use whoever is closest, so I have totrust in him to a degree, plus do my homework and tell himwhenI hear of something different than he is stating - Icertainly didn't agree when he suggested I consider putting Raph downonce his legs gave out on him.

As for Raph, his appetite is still a bit off, but he continues to eat, just taking his time now. When he is in 'full bloom' (feeling great) hewill ram his head into his food dish and practically inhale hisfood...which is how he wound up in an emergency predicament a whileago, as he actually did inhale his food, silly boy.:disgust:Now he sorts and picks at things, and nibbles hereand there. I haven't started him on Nutrical, but am thinking it mightnot be a bad idea. My struggle with him right now is to get fluids intohim...he's been turning his nose up at water and only drinks a smallamount of what he did a few weeks ago. I add fruit juice to the waterto entice him, and I have to syringe-feed it to him, but when he'sdecided he doesn't want any more his head gets buried deep in theblankets and I can almost hear a muffled, 'Nope...don't want it...don'twant it...don't...want...it!' coming from beneaththem. Well, between that and expressing his bladder, I don't knowwhat's more frustrating. Never thought I'd see the day that a stream ofurine would make me want to dance!

So that's where we're at today....:)

(And Rosie...Flower is so cute in those pics! Tell her thank you for praying so hard. ;))
