Oh no - hope the water recedes quickly and you and your neighbors can get to drying your homes out - my old home in CT used to flood every spring and I got used to running the pumps to drain the feet of water out of the basement...brooms, shop vacs and the "triangle" pump that we used when the water was deep.

OMG! that's awful! My son came in and said "MOM! Did you see how bad the rain is......" and I said "IN FLORIDA?!" He said yeah and I told him why I knew (I don't watch much television!) and he felt SO bad for you Patti. Stay dry, safe and kiss the bunnies for the Yankees up here!

The water has receded a few inches, but it is raining again. Pat has procured an SUV for me to drive so I can get off out street. He drives an Explorer and has been able to come and go. So, I am off house arrest tomorrow and can go buy the poor little bunners veggies. It's been interesting to say the least,

We haven't had to sandbag. Fortunately, we are at the high end of our street. Our neighbors a few doors down haven't been so lucky. We are up to 28" of rain and expect 2 more today.
