We are in our third day of torrential rains here - we've had over 14 inches in the last 24 hours and are expecting more. See the plants in the picture. They are large potted plants sitting on my dock.

Thanks Mrs. PBJ. My daily 120 mile commute has been a nightmare with the rain.

Here is the street in front of my house taken a few minutes ago. There is probably a foot of water at the low point.

Yikes! I'm a rain person.. (can't not be.. living in British Columbia) but that's A LOT of rain!

You're going to have to swim to work! ;)

Here's the field next to my parents' ranch two weeks ago:

Same field today:

And here's our latest branch crashing through the deck from the wind and rain last night:

Wow all of those pictures are crazy! Thats a lot of rain!!
It was nice and sunny here, and is supposed to be for the next week.

I hope the rain lets up soon and that ya'll are safe until it does let up!

It's been beautiful in Indiana! :biggrin2:

Sorry, I had to say it..... you always get to and I couldn't resist.......

MAN! That's some scarey water! Hope it ends soon. Is this normal for your area?

Pictures to follow later when it gets light out. We are officially flooded in. The water is halfway up our driveway - no leaving the house today. It's still pouring. Thank goodness we have flood insurance.

OMG, I'm so sorry! I've been there - lost everything in my basement a few years ago. It's so depressing and so messy!

not raining here today but i did see men working on the flood defences on the river that runs by the village. second time this year:rollseyes the floods have never reached my house - yet - being a tad higher than the rest of the village. some of my neighbours have had problems getting insurance because of flooding in the village. we have talked thru what the plan would be should the water reach us. oddly enough the first thing was to keep the bunnies carrier ready and waiting on top of a hutch..

Put the car in guarge home owner will cover them it property in the house found that out the hard way with hurricane ike.

I hope everyone stays safe. I an guessing at this point yall still have power?

Be careful out there

The power has been on and off. It's raining again and there is some pretty nasty stuff moving in from offshore. We have now officially had more rain than the three 2004 hurricanes combined.

We sit up higher than most of our neighbors. There are 4 or 5 houses on our block that have water in them. The water in the street is knee deep.

Me and the buns are hunkered down for the duration.

Oh gosh Patti, that sounds so scary! I hope you guys will be ok and the rain lets up soon!

Do you have enough food, bunny veg and supplies etc if it lasts a while?

And did you get your working from home stuff set up in the end or do you still have to commute for the time being (apart from today obviously)...

Stay safe!

Please stay safe and update when you can.

Becareful sending prayers for you and the buns. and any other pets or people in your home. Do you have a second story put all the cages up there. Put everything on something.

Sorry I know you know all this just really worried about you. If you flood get everything out sooner rather then later cut the walls out. Take the pictures and stuff. In our rental we did demo our selves and it was livable. just days after we came home we did not have walls but we had a roof over our head.

Well, I'm probably going to run out of veggies before I can get to the store, but I have plenty of pellets and hay. Spoiled bunnies are going to have to tough it out!

You should have seen me in my husband's big rubber boots wading down the middle of the street taking pictures in between storms. I was in my pajamas too! I'm sure the neighbors enjoyed it.
