Rabbits and herding dog.

I have a breed of herding dog that is often a choice in taking care of commercially raised rabbits as they tend to be calm and friendly with smaller animals. I introduced him to my two rabbits slowly and they seem to show no fear of him. They readily climb out of the cage and inspect him if he is lying down nearby. Sometimes it seems they are trying to play with him.

Does anyone else get strange behaviour from their rabbits when they are around dogs?

I have an Australian shepherd and she is very protective of the bunnies. Bo used to hop all over her when he was a baby. She would just look at me with her pathetic "Kids" look.... Even our wild rescue is very fond of her. Strange since it was her sister who initially injured Clover.

Heh, I have the same breed of dog. He does seem protective.
