Rabbit Sells Family

Hello everyone!

Some months ago I bought myself a family using my charm. Things started off pretty well, the humans were kinda cute and I thought they were right for me. It didn't last very long however.

I was looking for a cuddly family, one who would sit still for hours and watch TV with me. I expected the family to sit quietly in their corner and watch as I enjoyed roaming about. They should have been sleeping when I said it was time to sleep, come when called, blend in with the decor, and well, if they had known any tricks it would have been a bonus. Alas, it wasn't so.

The family is way too noisey for my liking. Oh my gosh, you should hear the racket they make when I am trying to sleep! They are driving me insane! They insist on making my home their territory. They leave their things lying around all over the place! Don't they know it is MY house? They are totally ruining my decor around here. Oh, don't even get me started on how smelly they are... The little one? I thought she would be a friend for me but she's a biter and she scares me!

Now they just sit in their corners watching me go about doing my things and feeling rejected because I don't want to spend time with them. I mean, who would? It is with great regret that I have decided to sell my family. They demand too much of my precious time. I am tired of their mess and their independence. I am a busy bunny you know and life happens. Hopefully, they can go to a good home, and someone with loads of patience will train them and make them the ideal family.

The unhappy rabbit.

A friend that runs an exotic Sanctuary has something similar on her site. It's about a family getting a new puppy and wanting to give up their child - since in so many cases when families have a new baby they give up their pets. It is sad, but I would like more people to read things like this from the other point of view. This situation happens all too often and maybe more people would stop and think a little bit!

I think it's a really good way to illustrate how rediculous it is, the things people expect from animals...

Mind if I share it elsewhere?

It's a perfect way of demonstrating that no one should get an animal if they expect him/her to be "perfect."

Thanks for sharing.

Aww i'm sorry, my intention wasn't to make people cry. :(

Nooo, don't worry, it wasn't your fault!

I was crying because I know it happens so much with people treating animals like that, as Rosie said, how wrong are people to expect these things from animals!

I know that stuff like this goes on all the time (opposite way round though obviously! :p), I guess I just don't like to think about it!

It's good though!
