Rabbit Pregnancy Issues? Help!

Hello, I’m in desperate need of closure for my pregnant doe who is pregnant but isn’t giving birth or showing any signs of pregnancy except the fact that she’s showing it’s obvious she is pregnant. This hasn’t been the first time she’s acted like she isn’t pregnant she was bred September 16 and she continues to be pregnant. She is now on her 35th day of being pregnant and still nothing in her box. I’m worried she may not give birth and that the babies will die in her stomach. She’s had 1 other pregnancy where she was only 2 days late but this now deeply concerns me because she’s not giving birth at all.

I had an over due doe this month. On day 33 I gave her fresh raspberry leaves and she kindled 1.5 hours later. It may have been a coincidence, but you could give it a try! I gave her a handful of leaves, she didn't eat them all, but she ate a good amount. Make sure you scrape the thorns off the backs of the leaves.

Pretty sure that would be a coincidence, there’s nothing about raspberry leaves that would induce labour. Glad it worked for you though!

So is it an old wives tail that they can induce labor in humans and rabbits?

It is believed by some (whether it is just a placebo or genuinely works, I don’t know) that raspberry leaves consumed regularly during pregnancy can help tone the uterus making the actual process of labour shorter and less damaging. But there is no evidence to suggest it can induce labour, and I wouldn’t want the original poster to delay seeing a vet for something potentially serious because they tried something that is unlikely to help.
I’m happy enough for people to believe what they want to believe, and many herbal remedies can be effective, but in an emergency situation I would skip straight to seeing a vet before trialling other things.

Ohhh, I see. haha. Well that was a stroke of luck on my part then! when she gave birth, I was like....holy crap, that's amazing! lmao.
