Here are a couple Rabbit agility pictures from yesterday. We set up our little course in the local park.

Awesome! Glad to see you guys out and training! Was training at the park fun? I bet their were a lot of people wondering what you were doing! lol.

Looks like Luna and Beanie (short for Sherbert im guessing?) are having a blast! Do they run through the course quite quickly?

I haven't been able to train Magic lately, but today he went over his ex.pen a couple times and I made him jump a straight-bar to get the urge to jump out lol. Still didn't help..... :(

Can't wait for more pictures! :)

Yeah training at the park was fun. A couple people stoppeed to watch and ask questions.

No, Beanie is not short for Sherbert. Beanie is a Harliquin Holland lop buck that I'm training also. Technically he is Kim's rabbit but she is letting me train himfor agility.

Sherbert is doing good also but not as well as Luna and Beanie.

The jumps that Luna did were only a couple inches off the ground butShe is just so small (2 lbs) that it makes them look big.

There were not very many people at the park but a few people stopped to watch.

Oh how fun! I've heard about rabbit agility but never seen or met anyone in the US who is involved :)
I wish Flynn could do it, it looks like a great way to spend time with your bunnies.

It is really fun, you should try it even if you don't have anyone around you to compete with you couldjust use it to bond with your rabbit. It's really amazing how fast they pick up on things, by the end of the first day I had Luna jumping over a pole.

It's probably really good for their health too! Gives them something to do and keeps them moving some. Bo could probably benefit from that and Tony!

I also am involved with rabbit-hopping too :)

Btw, Hayley, have you trained/talked with the other lady who is going to start the Rabbit Hopping Club?

Emily

Yeah I have we meet twice a week but we are waiting until our rabbits are really good before we form an actual club. That way we will be able to better help other people train their rabbits.

Very nice pictures, Hayley! Sherbert looks really good! And what a creative jump! :) Where did you get those little NIC panels?

You are good at taking in-action pictures! lol. It takes me forever to get decent ones of Magic jumping.

Emily

I have had those little NIC cubes for years, I don't remember where they came from originally.

No, I am not very good at taking pictures. My brother took all of the pictures and he's good but it still took ages to get good ones you have to get the timing just perfect. Plus your working with a rabbit who may decide at the last second she doesn't want to jump (we had quite a few of those LOL).

That's perfect how he gets the shot. For everyone else wanting to take a picture likethat, all you have to do isprefocus where the bunny is jumping, and catchhim at his high point. Use the flash on the camera to freeze the action. It's all anticipation. One more thing, turn off the red eye flash, you don't need it and it only wastes your batteries.

The camera used is a $40.00 Canon Powershot A75.It is an older camera. So you don't need a fancy camera to catch rabbits jumping and blinking.
Tell your brother he did a good job. :thumbup
