Questions about my rabbit

I have a 6 weeks female rabbit named Dolly, Im new on having rabbit as a pet, so I have a few questions regarding her behavior.

1. sometimes when I take her out, she loves to SUDDENLY runs very fast. as in really really fast like a horse (even sounded like one) :expressionless but she only does that from one point to another, so after reaching a certain point, she stops (not continually running very fast). and she does that when nothing's around, as in there's nothing shocking her or anything, she just suddenly does that.

2. sometimes out of sudden she jumps very high (around 10-15cm high). like she's hopping hopping somewhere, n suddenly she jumps really high, then continue hopping.

so my question is, why is she doing those things? is there something wrong with her?

There are 2 terms you need to know: bunny-500's and Binkies

the first action (running suddenly VERY fast) is a bunny-500. It is just kinda 'fun' for a rabbit, kinda like a game to them.

the second (suddenly jumping) is a binkie, or what we call in our house "stuart's" (after the MadTV skit with the 'boy' stuart when he says 'look what I can do' and does this weird jump move thing)

both of these are happy bunny things! If Dolly is doing them, then that means she is happy with you and her new home!

the other behavior you might notice is a 'dead bunny flop' and that is when they kinda fall over onto their back or side and sleep or just lay like that. they look like they are dead but really are just all relaxed. this is another happy bunny behavior.

Awww, sounds like she's really happy living with you! Both the Bunny-500 and Binkies are definitely happy bunny moves.

My first rabbit Fluffy used to run "figures of 8" at top speed around her outside run.
