Questions! 1st time bun owner!

I started trimming the baby bunnies' nails when they were just a month or two old, because they were sharp. They were so hard to see! I think at your bunny's age he's fine to get a trim. It's good that it's so easy to see the quick. With my parrot it was super hard, so I had to keep stiptic powder on hand to staunch the bleeding if I hit the quick.

I will check my buns nails every weekend. When he's eating his pellets, I will come and feel his nails. If they feel and look long, I will trim them. Every bunny's nails grow at different speed. I don't want to cut off too much, so I will trim off a tiny bit. Because I check/trim if needed often they never get too long.

We use our regular family nail clippers. I bought the guillotine pet type when they were little but it's too clunky and the rabbits jerk their feet so much you don't have time to line up your shot. Better to just be able to see where the nail is coming through the clipper, and then just squeeze.

It's actually recommended to use cat clippers as the human ones can mess up their nails

Thank you! That is how it is with our boxer/pit mix! Dark, thick brown nails & flour to pack any little quick bleeds

NEVER EVER give your bunny a bath. They will get hypothermia and immediately die. My bunny has the same yellow feet. Don’t worry, he will most likely shed it out during shedding season. Bunnies groom themselves just like cats. Make sure to brush him one a week so he doesn’t get blocked stomach.

You also can use something like lace or fine sock to keep fur away, really makes it easier
