Today I went (once again) to the pet shop I brought the last two of Coco's second litter. One of them had sold within a week of their arrival, the other one is still there and has been for the last four weeks. Although they have a rather nice set up for the bunnies four weeks in a pet shop is quite a long time and I worry he won't find a home - worst of all he has become sick and they have separated him from the others.
When I first looked in the cage and didn't see Pips I thought he had found a home but when I started chatting to a member of staff she showed me his tiny cage in the corner. he looked so dispirited and lifeless. He used to be the hardest to catch of the lot. He barely moved when I scooped him up. He was a perfectly healthy bunny used to running around in a large enclosure eating grass and timothy hay. Now he has a slightly weepy eye and Diorrhea!!! I left my number and offered to nurse him back to health if necessary but I couldn't really commit to bying him back (although I was close to) I have a bad feeling he is not going to make it, he looks completely listless. I wonder will they get a vet to check him. What should I do? Sabine
