Gosh, I’ve only posted about pee and now poop but hey!!! Here goes...

Just started introducing veggies to my bun, it was probably a bit late but the vet originally said a year... he’s 10 months now.

Anyway!

I think I may have fed him too many veg today, he’s had a handful of watercress and a handful of red cos lettuce.

He had very smelly poop today - still formed, not Diarrhoea by any means, but a bit softer and darker than usual.

Is it his stomach getting used to veg? Should I be doing it more slowly? I have been doing this gradually for the past three weeks.

How much veg should a rabbit REALLY be getting a day?

I feel bad that he might be having gas or something but he seems fine and hasn’t been bloated at all! Just softer poops.

Thanks in advance :)

Well, He's still quite young to experiment with his diet. Waiting another month wouldn't hurt.
Doing it slow then doesn't hurt. Starting with half finger sized amounts and adding that each day should work.

Vegetables are made for humans, so it should be made sure that rabbits get still enough fiber, their digestion works different to ours, so their staple food should be grass and weeds or grass hay. Vegetables get some variety in their diet, imho the more diverse the better.
