Hi!! I'm Pokey's mama, she's a massive black and white thing that I took in by answering a Craigslist ad. I've never taken care of bunnies before, I'm a dog person mostly, but I can't have dogs or cats in my apartment so I got what I thought would be the next best thing! I had no idea what I was getting myself into, I joined this forum because I have tons of questions.
Pokey's is kind of a sad story, her mom before me had to give her up ASAP because she was moving off-island and didn't want to traumatize the poor thing by taking it with on an airplane. I can't imagine bunnies do well on planes. She needed to re-home her so quickly that she drove to my house, and was giving away the bunny, her cage, water bottle, nail clippers, extra food and shavings, all of it, for free... she said she had more than a few people that wanted to take her for a free meal  her parting words to me were "just pleeeeease don't eat my bunny!!"
So I don't know how old she is, breed or anything, but she's huge, kind of a scaredy-cat, but also fussy and likes to "attack" if she's in a bad mood. I understand she was the companion of a 4-year-old with her previous owner and I can't help but think she's got some kind of rabbitty post-traumatic stress disorder.... as for me, I'm a college student and a little bit antisocial, so Pokey's the only one I come home to at night, I like to take good care of my baby!!!
